Interior Apperance Package questions?

Interior Apperance Package questions?
I was told by my dealer the interior appearance package has all the same features as the IUP except for the alluminum on the dash. Is this true? He said the reason they made this package available was due to production problems with the alluminum dash. I tend to like the all black dash better, but I still want to get the upgraded computer and My color. Is this possible without getting the alluminum dash?

RE: Interior Apperance Package questions?
The IUP is the only package that has the My Color option and computer. I wanted the IUP with mine but since I have the Interior Sport Appearance Package (ISAP) that came with the car that I found, I have no regrets. I don't think I would have bought the car if it was plain jane on the interior. The ISAP looks great.

==He said the reason they made this package available was due to production problems with the alluminum dash.==
The BS these guys come up with is astounding. ISAP has been available from day 1 as has been IUP. The reason for having both packages is to offer a cheaper alternative, nothing more.

No, you need to get the IUP if you want the Mycolor. It may be possible to remove the aluminum panels if you don't like them. I'm not sure how they're attached. I suggest you drive it a while with the panels though, I think you'll change your mind about them

RE: Interior Apperance Package questions?
It's true - ISAP has not been available since day one. It was released later in the model year after Ford was having problems filling all the orders for the IUP. My order guide did not have the ISAP in the original form. It was added later in the model year. I remember my region's scheduler taking the time to send a special email to all ICM's to explain the new option. She clearly stated that it was because they were having problems fullfilling all the orders for the IUP's.
