Gold might not be to ghetto provided it is not a bright shiney fake looking gold. If it were more of the washed out anodized look, I could live with that. But I doubt you are going to get that in a can.
yeah that's the gold I'm talking about, saw a 350Z with that color and looked pretty good.

I'd have to see a pic of anodized gold calipers on a silver/gray car. It doesn't sound like a good fit, but you never know.

What color for silver, grey, or tungsten would y'all recommend. I'm thinking Gold but I don't want it looking Ghetto. Maybe, black.

Red might also look good, since the tail lights and side marker lights are red also.

Got mine off the internet!!!

Search for "Caliper Paint" and found a site where I ordered the kit...

Came with the paint (several colors to choose from), the hardener and brush...

All for about $35.00 plus shipping (naturally)...

Take each wheel off and painted (two coats) on each one, let dry, re-mounted everything and you're in business...

Take a Look...

If any of you are looking for caliper decals I found a good place at http://www.xenonmods.com/

Ford Mustang Brake Caliper Decals
6 - Mustang Text
6 - Pony
6 - SVT Text
6 - Cobra Text
FULL set of 24 - $9.99 shipped

I'm planning on painting the caliper red, then placing the decal, and finish up with a couple layers of clear coat.

I plan on paying someone to do mine. I want a nice, smoothe look with a glossy clearcoat; not that lumpy, crumply, did-it-in-my-garage look. Not to mention I don't want it chipping off after a few hundred miles.

I've been doing some checking and it seems there are caliper paint kits from various vendors of varying cost and quality.

VHT makes a very inexpensive spray kit. You can get it for under $9. You need to provide your own cleaner degreaser and it withstands temperatures up to 950 degrees (so they say)

Duplicolor offers an entire system in a box. It has everythign you need including a cleaner, stirring stick, masking tape and instructions. It uses ceramic resins in the paint and it's rated up to 500 degrees

G2 makes a kit similar to the Duplicilr kit but is rated to 950 degrees. Price varies fomr $50-$30. The best price I found was on Ebay.

The duplicolor and G2 kits are a 2 part kit that must be mixed immediately before use. Once you finish painting, you need to let the paint cure for 2 hours before you put the tires back and 24 hrs before you can drive again. It requires a clean dust free environment to get the best results.

My garage is too small so I'm going to drive the car into our warehouse at work and do it during the weekend.

Be careful who you buy the kits from. The shelf life on these is only 6 months; so make sure you buy from a reputable dealer that does large volumes to gurantee you get fresh product.

Here's another site with instructions:
