Default Dead battery! W00hOO!

So the car sat in the garage for five days. I go to start it and it is deader than a doornail. Totally dead. Keyless entry didn't even work. This was only five days. No interior lights were left on. No doors or anything were ajar. Nothing.

I'm guessing I may not have massaged the stupid shaker 500 properly in order to get it to shut off gracefully last time I was in the car. Or at least that's what I'm hoping has happened here.

The fiance' gave me a jump and it seems OK now. But I am wondering. Who is responsible for this idiotic design problem? Is this Ford? Did they make that Shaker stereo or is it some other company that did it for them?

This is retarded.

I had the same problem. I changed my HU and it never happened again.

Yeah a friend suggested that as well. I wonder if Ford wants to pony up the dough for another HU plus install costs? In all fairness they ought to. This is their screwup and their responsibility that this problem exists. Why should the owner have to pay for their design mistakes?
