Default cup holders

got my 05 5 speed convertible saturday. the cupholders are a nuisance when shifting with anything larger than a 12 oz can. anyone come up with something better? i had a couple of folding cup holdiers i installed against the tranny tunnel in my 98 corvette that were out of the way. i may do that again.

Use the cup holders for change and the cell phone......

You don't wanna spill any beverages on the nice new leather or cloth do ya?

actually, I use the rear holder with a beverage cup that has a tight seal lid, to hopefully prevent the spills....

The only way to get the cupholders to work right is to get an automatic Actually it's a pain shifting to reverse and drive with a drink in there, I was wondering what in the world you'd do with a stick.

You may already know this, but the rear cupholder has a removable insert. If you take it out, your drink will sit a lot lower and may make it easier to shift.

TAKE THE RUBBER PIECE OUT OF THE BACK CUPHOLDER AND IT GETS MUCH DEEPER. PULL IT OUT BY THE LITTLE TAB.

Exactly what he said. It took me almost two weeks to realize that you can pull the bottom out of the rear cup holder. Now a Big Gulp sits real nice... no spillage when working through the gears hard.

Cup holders? What are you folks talking about - those little round openings behind the shifter? One should never drink and drive - you might hit a bump and spill your drink!!! Nothing worse then spilled coffee in your vehicle - thats why I vowed that food nor drink will ever see the inside of my ride! So I agree with Scottsat - change or cell phone only
