WHAT!!!

You mean the cup holder won't hold my Colt45 32 oz Can?

What a bummer!

I purchased a coffee cup that moves from car to car. the bottom of it is a perfect 12oz soda can size then it tapers gradually up to create a 16oz coffee cup.

Since I bought an automatic, shifting with the cup in the holder isn't an issue.

I did notice a lot of "empty space" that Ford could have used for storage... but that would have drove the cost up.

But.. when you think about it... Ford has never been a maker to get into making good workable cup holders and storage containment.

I keep two towels (dark, folded, behind seat) in my ride, decent hand towel size, IF food needs to happen in the car, the engine is of, the radio/CD may be on, the towels are in the lap, the drinks are in the holders. Key goes on, food goes out, towels are carefully shaken outside of the windows!
See, I agree with this guy! Food and moving car is a no go... to put it even further, certain foods in general are a no go period.

I was once called an "a$$hole" by this girl for expressing my opinions on this. She said... "What if when you have kids and he accidentally drops a Big Mac in your car?... what are you gonna do? freak out on him?"
... needless to say I found this absolutely hilarious to which I replied " Why the hell would a kid be eating a big mac in my car at all???? my car is certainly not a mess-hall " LMAO ... she rolled her eyes at me... I shook my head at her.

I dont know why it is that people seems to think that just because you have kids everything is supposed to be all junked up and cars of any sort of a sporty nature are some sort of taboo... Yeah... kids are alot of work.. and they are messy and don't have much regard for anything... However, this is no reason to just sit back and allow anarchy to prevail. This is why we have RULES for little kids... yes its a bitch to keep enforcing but hey... welcome to parenthood.

We must be twin sons of different mothers....

Kind of like each and every thread I see that starts off something like "My wife chipped this on my car, or dinged that, or scraped this" and my standard reply is "Your wife was driving your car why?". Then of course I get dog piled with all the BS.. "If you knew my wife bla bla bla.... Hey my wife is the star of my sky bla bla bla..." Sorry, I still don't get why she is driving your car!! My wife has her own vehicle, I don't drive it. She has her own motorcycle, I don't ride that. I have my own car and my own motorcycle, she has nothing to do with them!

Very nice ride, Cappi!

No food or drinks in mine either, unless it's being transported in sealed containers.

I dont eat or drink in my car but i DO run errands i.e. picking up food and drink FOR other family members (any excuse to drive is a good one) and the second i put a drink in the cup holder i realized you poor poor manual transmission owners are in for a tough time. Not only do you have to SHIFT into EVERY gear... now you have to do it with your fingertips as you hover your elbow. AUTOMATICS FOR LIFE!

only thing that sucks is the drink rings on the rubber tabs... do they make coasters for the cup holders?

If tell my kid if he fails a grade he might be driving it. At least he will get a parking space up close to the school.

Some foods/drinks not allowed in car. Agreed! My wife and I are VERY Careful with foodstuffs! Our other vehicles, semi-retired 26 year old BMW and 16 year old GMC still have nearly perfect interiours. BMW carpets could use a shampoo however, just years since last one.

By the way, GMC is red. Just used Meguiar's Deep Crystal Cleaner, then Deep Crystal Polish, then Meguiar's "Gold" on it. I can not believe how good it looks! I even do the inside parts of the bed. [:-] Not the bottom, just the interiour sides of the bed. I have thing on the bottom called "Big Mat"

I'm saving Meguiar's "Next Generation" for the Mustang. But, if it anything like the ease of the "Gold" I can't wait! But, I will. I've just spent the last two weeks working on the GMC and BMW to make 'em pretty again.
