Question Saleen S/C question

So I had the series VI installed recently, have had no problems with the unit, it's absolutely great. I have noticed something unusual with my Shaker 500 radio however. Ever since the installation, it seems as though I've had to turn up the volume quite a bit to be able to hear it. For example, when I'm driving on the interstate, I used to have the volume set at five full bars. It was plenty loud. Now, I have to have the vol turned up to about 8 or nine to get the same volume level. Is this normal for a s/c? Or am I just crazy...

When you disconnected the battery for the install, it resets all the radio settings. You may have forgotten to re-adjust the "speed volume" control again. A setting of "4" or "5" should do it.

It's not so much an interference as it just doesn't sound as loud as it used to, even at idle or rolling at 20 mph, where there is very little noise from the head unit.

I actually did fool with the speed volume, but only up to like 1 or 2. I'll try it again at like 4 or 5. Thanks guys!

I think you are just trying to brag, Do you normally drive with the windows up or down? I know for me when I have the windows up 2 bars is good for me

Yeah so did I. That's what I'm trying to say. It's unusually soft/low. I did turn up the speed volume to 5, that seems to have done the trick though, as four full bars is now plenty of volume. Cheers
