I believe that if there's a current draw, you should track it down and stop it instead of hiding it by using a bettery tender. Current draw means something is being used and/or getting warm. Whichever it is, that's not good in the long term.

LMFAO @ speach, i was ranting =P

btw riptide, that tsb talks about the car draining after 30 days or so. im talking like we drive it today (for hours, plenty of charge time) and then tomorrow its dead. sometimes it is, sometimes it isnt.

I had this problem after leaving my 2006 GT in a airport parking lot for approximately 9-10 days. I got a jumpstart and it was fine until the next time I let it sit for 5 days. Today I no longer have that problem and the only thing I have done is change out the factory head unit for an Alpine head unit. So the Shaker BS could very well be the culprit.

I realize that my77. The TSB is applicable however. You and I both know a car should be able to sit for 30 days and start up OK without a tender on there as long as you haven't left something on like a dome light.

77 Stang. My new 2008 just killed my battery after sitting for a week. It's not the keyless entry issue - must be more. Also, I didn't realize it until after delivery but Ford had replaced the OEM Motorcraft battery with another one (joe blows) - and I'm making the dealership put a true Motorcraft battery in there....

I like your signature. If any other candidate on the republican side had a history like Obama's... he'd never make it as a nominee... Heck, if a republican even admits to attending church he / she'd be labeled a radical. The double standard is alarming - but what's more alarming is the super-majority that the democratic party will have should Obama win. Both houses, and the white house - there would be NO checks / balances in place. Get ready for a serious carbon tax if you have a car with more than a liter in displacement... and high gas prices at a minimum. Everyone should be alarmed. All the environmental wackos, and gun control fanatics will run amok. I'm scared, my head isn't in my a$$.

Take care,
Jon

And his signature has what to do with the point you made!!! Not a damn thing!!!

Your comment about a republican candidate going to church being seen as a radical is ignorant at best.

Yeah McCain and Palin are really the answer when McCain sees things the same way Bush does and Palin can't find her way out of a paper bag. Maybe someone will teach Palin what a vice president does before election day. McCain should be ashamed of himself for picking some that makes the party look so bad. He might want to learn how to send an email before trying to run for president. Don't give that he has a bad arm crap he can reach in front of him so he can learn how to type if he actually gave a damn, and these are just the little things. I guess I will just standby while he puts his campaign on hold again cause he doesn't have a clue how to multitask but yet he wants to be the president of the United States.
