Thats one quick, easy, and cheap mod. Im doin that this weekend. If your batteries die out on the remote you could use the key but why not add a nice feature like that when it is so easy and cheap.

Because it's totally unecessary and old thinking from days when remotes were a pipe dream.
To each his own I guess. Might want to think about putting in a throttle cable too. And while your at it, perhaps junk that electronic ignition and install a distributor with points and a condenser. Heck, why not pull that throttle body off too and stick a good ol' holley on there. All these modern technologies are such a pita.
LOL

I believe they were thinking you could reach down near your ignition and press that little button on your key fob........

Or you could get a factory SN95 trunk release button
for a more OEM factory installed look.

I just bought a 09 Milan and it has a flush button right next to the light control for the trunk, as well as having the button on the key itself. I can't believe Ford didn't do something like this on the Mustang.

have you seen the rear badge on the 2010 yet? It has no keyhole like current ones.
Could that mean they finally are putting in a cable release?
