Default trunk release?

In my 05 Mustang GT i noticed there is no trunk release and i've been using the button on my keys but my auto shop teacher said it could be in the glove box i however looked and saw no button. Is there one on these cars or is it just the key or button to open the trunk?

Stkjock beat me too it... It really is a PITA not having a way to open it from the passenger compartment. What was Ford thinking?

Kinda funny! I had an 05 GT Convertible and now have an 08 Vert and thought it was only missing on convertibles.

Hmm, I could have sworn I had a button in the glove box for that...I'll look later. I know my 95 did.

FYI: Screw that button in those directions. It's too big..as in it doesn't mount flush enough. Go to Radio Shack and look at their momentary switches...I found a nice round low profile one...black with a red button.

Umm...button on key fob works with the key in the ignition and the car running so long as the tranny is in 'P' or the clutch is out (neutral).

I don't see how that is more difficult that reaching from the drivers seat to the glove box, opening the glove box, hitting the button, then trying to close the glove box like the SN95/new edge models. I owned an 00 and it was a PITA vs the key fob now.
