Default water issue

Im posting on behalf of my brother who doesnt have an account but wanted me to ask if anyone has had a similar problem as he did. He was driving up a steep hill going to work and water started going everywhere on the passenger side under the glove box, it had been raining all night and morning. It continued all day as he drove around running errand for work and finally was still wet when he came home tonight. I looked in the cowl/drain section behind the hood and the passenger side is filled with water. Anyone have a similar experience? p.s its going to dealer tommorow

sounds like the drain hole is clogged, does he park under trees? it could be leaves in there...

yeah i did ...on that side is where the cabin air filter is located in the firewall... at the bottom of the firewall right below the car alarm horn there is a water evac duct. their should be a rubber grommet make sure nothing is blocking it otherwise the water will rise till it enters your car.all you need to do is remove the windshield wiper on the pass. side, grab a phillips screwdriver remove 2 or 3 plastic screws(i cant remember) and remove the plastic piece..oh yeah you might wanna get a new filter im pretty sure your is going to be moldy too. my problem was one of the car alarms wire was pinching it together.

I had that problem a while back. It was fixed under http://www.fcsdchemicalsandlubricant.../tsb/07146.pdf It could be the result of four different causes
