I have seen in serveral Stangs the stereo show the name of the station you are listening to. Also shows the name of the CD when inserted. Am I just missing how to set mine up to do this?
Anybody have any info?

 

Hit the text button I presume... I set mine a long time ago and havent messed with it since... should be in the middle of the stereo somewhere...

I have the Shaker 500, but the method to do this should be the same for the Shaker 1000. With the radio on, hold the menu button down for about 5 seconds. This should take you into the menu settings and display an option called "RDS". Turn this option on, and you'll have what you're after.

 

But only if the station broadcasts the song

 

All the stations I listen to use the feature and it is nice to have. I also really like the search feature (clicking Menu after turning RDS on/off), I used it to find what is now one of my favorite stations.

nice trick, i knew you could tap it to see the name of the on sirius. i'll change that in the morning.
