Sweet, if Matco sells it, I should be able to get one for a reasonable cost!

Default Brake tool

I've heard you can get it reasonably at Harborfreight.

Yeah, I payed 30 bucks. Used, but in good condition. Not like I will be using it all the time.
I see a set of no names on yahoo for 39 bucks.

Stoenr, is that the Harbor freight tool, or Matco?

One other question.....I understand this tool is now necessary for our rear brakes, but can it be used on the front, and on other vehicles that don't require "screwing"?

Astro pneumatic. No name I guess, just from amazon.com.

Pretty sure its for single piston calipers only.

Wonder if we could just use this with a c clamp.

This one is even cheaper: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...icial%26sa%3DN

you could just an old brake pad and large pliers for the fronts.

I have done the rears with a set of needle nose but sometimes its not that easy to turn. It all depends.

I have a question for you all......I have been hearing a creaking noise coming from my rear brakes. I pulled my calipers off and removed the rear brake pads and they look fine. The rotor however is a different story. The edge of the rotor is a little rusted and on one side it looks rusted down to where the actual pad makes contact. Would the little bit of rust making contact to the brake pad cause a creaking noise?

I may turn the rotors and I am sure the noise will go away, but I am just curious.
