Default CDC Classic Free Mod

I just picked up a CDC chin spoiler for my car today. The chin spoiler is painted to match the car. I put it on and it looked good, but all the cheap plastic around it annoyed me. I thought of ripping the lower grill out, but decided to pass on it. My friend came over and had the same idea, so i decided to give it a shot. Well, it looks MUCH better in my opinion without the black plastic lower grill. It is pretty much the same as the plastic grill under it as far as the vertical parts, but the honey comb part has parts under it that need to be cut out. All i did was cut these out(still need to sand it smooth) and i have a nice painted finish all around now. Ford apparently painted this part, but then covered it in cheap plastic. It is kinda late and hard to explain, but ill get pics if anyone wants.

This is interesting... would love to see pics.
I like the grill-less look of the cdc aggressive, but it is so low I'm afraid I would rip it off, especially if I lower it. I would love to see what this looks like with the classic.

ah ha! Now I see what you were talking about.
Wow that trips my eyes out because I'm used to seeing that cheap filled in honeycomb garbage. That actually looks really cool-i've never seen that done before!

So are you saying that you just took the lower grill off and there is a painted finish on the vertical bars?

How is that better? It looks much worse, like you are missing a piece! Fill it with something.

But if you are so concerned about cheap plastic you definitely bought the wrong car. The the reviews of the S197 all point out the cheap plastic interior. Personally, I could care less, as there's nothing lighter than plastic!

I like it but I would be a bit worried about the radiator from rocks being kicked up. That is the reason I don't want to get the cdc aggressive when the time comes.
