Question Msd 2 step

for all that have this, do you have any install tips? i couldn't find a sticky...

Im ordering this in the next few weeks too, please respond to this thread if you have any more tips or tricks you learned during your install!! im excited! 305 drag radails, 393 lbstq and 445 rwhp...+ launch control...mmmmmmm baby

wow, what a combo! hope you beefed up the drive-train components at least a little bit!!

hey guys you dont have to go out and buy a msd 2-step you know that right? only if you have a tuner, at least the SCT

in the tuner there are two rev limiters, one would be for drive obviously when your moving, and the other is for a neutral rev. for kicks i tried it out, just set the neutral to 3800rpm and it works awesome!!

when launching at the track, just apply enough throttle to hit the limiter because if you just land on the throttle to the limiter it bounces off it like a son of a bitch.

i love it, because im in a stick shift and i love to braquet race, so i needed to find a way to be more consistant

The problem with that is the stock and SCT rev limiter cuts fuel whereas the MSD cuts spark. Cutting fuel in a FI application could cause catastrophe to the engine...i.e., BOOM.
