Guy at the Shell station told me that this was the 1st week of selling the 10% ethanol (Lynchburg Va. area) and of course he said Chevon was next,so get used to it, in a crappy kinda way.(just because I said Chevon hear I come).

it really isnt bad, its been that way in texas for atleast 5 years now, the difference is about 2mpg. I run an e85 tune on my mustang 85% ethanol.. and it makes lots more power than the 93 octane!

We've had ethanol in basically all of our 89 octane for many years. Almost all of our gas has ethanol. 10% is nothing to worry about. The gas mileage difference would be less than 1mpg. I don't know where you live, but here the gas with ethanol is actually cheaper. But either way, same price or not, it's not going to hurt anything.

I guess I'm lucky. My local Conoco stations still do not have ethanol in their fuel. The Cenex stations however do. Incidentally we have a single, that's right ONE, station in town that has 93 octane. But it is a Cenex station and has the 10% mix.

I'm just going to stick with Conoco though (91) since they don't add ethanol and have better detergents than the Cenex.

1-2 mpg loss on a 15 gallon tank is 15-30 miles less than normal....all for the same price as regular gasoline. I would call that significant.

10% at my local shell. I don't think I have ever used ethanol free gas, but I am averaging a little over 20 mpg right now with about 70% city driving.

I have a local station that is labeled 10% ethanol and premium is the same price as regular. Don't remember if it is 91 or 93. But I don't go there because not many other places are labeled with ethanol.
