Damn, sorry to hear that bro. Hope you're able to turn this around and the fencing company pay for damages and repair.

By teh sounds of it even if hte sensors (beam style) were present it sounds like he could've been pulled too far forward or they were below the cars body meaning they didn't "see" his car.

There are laws that actually state how those sensors need to be installed and where so you better find those first before even bothering with the gate company and be certain to take pics of the gate BEFORE you call the gate company. They may try to go in after you call them and install them to say they were there before.

Sucks ... I would be pretty pissed at myself for not seeing it // but there is nothing that you can do. Hopefully you'll get it taken care of in time to make the cruise. Let us know how it comes out

i have pretty good news. i took the car in to sunrise ford in north hollywood because my friend is a salesman there and they have their own collision center. i was able to go today and get an estimate which isnt as bad as i thought it would be. $1,347.12 they told me to call the girl's parents and give them the option of paying it or me just going through my insurance which will contact theirs and they can go through the gate company instead of me doing all that. Even better news is he promised me he would have the car out in 3 days max. he's ordering all the parts right now so when i take it in on monday they can work on it right away. The SoCal run is back on for me. I'm pretty excited now!

there was a white gt500 in their shop that belonged to a 19yr old kid. his dad bought it for him. the kid wrecked the beautiful machine. smashed in the front passenger engine compartment. might be a total loss. just goes to show that those things really do have too much power

Dude im 17 even if I had the option to get the GT500 I honestly would still take the GT for that reason whats the point of having a car that can go 150+ MPH when legally you arent suppose to go over 65MPH only thing would be getting to that 65 mark faster which is fine but the GT is plenty quick for me it hits 60 at the same time my 5th finger goes up =) haha not that I never speed I easily go 80 consitently on the way to work but that is with the flow of traffic I never do the bob and weave **** thats when people die.
