Default tuner?

my friend has a tuner that he used once. he said he would put his car back to stock and sell it to me. its a diablo predator tuner. anyone have this? and how much do you think i should give him for it?

You will need to pay to make it usable on your car. Once its used on a car its locked on that car unless you pay to have it unlocked. Easier to just buy a new one.

Well its not like tuners get old and suffer from wear and tear its basically like getting it new I would assume depending on how good of buddies you are I say give him something close to what he paid. Because in the end you getting it alot easier then ordering it online and waiting for it and your also helping him get his money back so its really however you feel about it and what he agrees to...

are they really locked on that car? i thought if you set the other car back to stock its unlocked again. isnt the sct that way at least?

Yeah thats what I thought that its only locked if there is a stock tune on it or something..

to op, it obviously sounds like you have never tuned the car correct? Are you running the o/r H with a cel or did you use mils?

It is a PREDATOR in the first place.

If you get it stock you can use it in another car no problem, the same with a SCT's X3 and even if it were an X2 then STILL yes, it will get vin locked even when returned to stock but you actually can unlock it yourself with SCT's liveload utility.
