most quotes in my area are betwen $400-$500 for the labor. Make sure you purchase the master bearing install kit as well. I got the hookup with a local tech and got them put in for $150 so ask around. As far as quarter mile times, i haven't raced mine, but have heard that it'll cut off .3-.4 but i'm not sure. All i know, is it pulls like a son of a ***** now!! I too went from 3.55s.....

I think $240 might be Ford's price. I went to the dealer and paid around that. Lethal is probably just selling them for list

yes that is what i would say too...like i stated the part number is the same for many places even though the price is different and yes there is a difference between the A and non A version.

gears should be right around $500 installed for parts and labor.

Not saying who you should buy from but I have always bought FRPP "A" gears and never had a problem. I have installed 3 sets so far and contemplating number 4.

It's definitely not heresay. It's a fact that they are different sets of gears with different part numbers. It's the same thing as the difference between the Motive Blue Box line of gears and their Orange/Yellow Performance Boxed gears. One is made in Italy and the other is made here in the US. The ones which are made in the US are the stronger of the two. It was explained to me by a large Motive distributor that the Performance gear also goes through the machine an additional time when they are cut. This takes out any minor imperfection from the initial cut. Think of it as fine tuning. It's also supposed to make a difference in gear noise from the extra machining.

Hope that helps. Jared

I also notice that FRPP offers a set under number M-4209-G410M*(track use). There is no further description I could find for these gears as to what makes them different from the "A" gears. Anyone know?e f

As to the issue of the "A" set and the non A gears, I see in the FRPP catalog, that they do not list the non A gears for the Mustang. They only list them for trucks for use in the front axle. That leaves the choice for FRPP gears in a Mustang to the "A" gears (or the "M" gears for the track, whatever the difference is I don't yet know).

.
