No you cant prevent this from happening. Its the geometry of the suspension and the way the body connects to the axle. I will be able to dig the diagram and such up later if you wish. You basically need to shorten the panhard to recenter the body over the axle though when you lower.

Here is the best way i can describe it

1) The ride height has gone down, and the panhard bar has a fixed connection to the chassis on the passenger side rear. Since the stock panhard bar length is fixed, my axel has shifted slightly to the driver's side (left when looking at the rear of the vehicle). The other way to look at it is the body has shifted to the right relative to the axel when viewing from the rear.
2) Therefore you need to shorten the bar slightly to pull the axel back to the passenger side (right when looking at the rear of the vehicle), essentially shifting the body back to the left.

If you have wider wheels it is said to be more noticeable. It depends on how misaligned if you will be able to notice by just looking.
IMO definitely worth lowering, don't let this very minor thing deter you.

An adjustable panhard bar is under $200 and easy to install. I'm going to install my springs, let the car settle a few days, get an alignment, then measure and have a close look before deciding to get an adjustable panhard bar.

I mean why buy before you're sure you want one. So I figure get it later if I decide I need it.

the panhard bar centers your rear axle to the body. just find a picture of a panhard bar mounted on a car and it will all make sense to you.

BMR adj panhard bar here.

It's really not too noticeable unless you have a wider set of wheels/tires out back than what originally came on the car.

Save and get the Watts Link........Saleen or Techco, which is centered off of your diff. cover, replaces panhard bar and brace..........and handles much better.

well the watts link is quite exspensive, and the alternatives are not as expensive but I heard that they are overkill if your not into hard turning and I guess thats where you will notice your difference, but you are also going to notice a difference with stiffer springs and a lower center of gravity, I say just lower it and get new control arms..you will really notice a difference..
