After 3 weeks of waiting for my C&L X cal 3 combo to come, i was excited to find it had arrived today.

I pluged the X cal into my car and went to upload the tunes but found i had 3 93 tunes, i orderd an 87, and two 91's.

I figured oh well, ill just email and get the new tunes. So i did and with in 3 mins i had a response with my new tunes attatched. he told me how to install them and everything.

So i followed all the instructions on how and my X cal 3 will not install onto my laptop. It is windows based but every time it says:

CAN NOT INSTALL THIS HARDWARE
The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software.

I tried tons of different things, downloading things but i cant get it to install on any of our computers.

My brother thinks its missing a driver.

I want to install this so bad, ive waited long enough and now this!
any help appreciated.

I don't know if the X3 is that different than the X2, but on the X2, you have to download LiveLoad3 before attempting to download tune files. Here is some info that MAY help....Good Luck.

Thanks for the help, i tried downlaoding live load but it says connect the X cal 2. when i pluged my X 3 in it didnt read it

have you tried calling SCT?

OK, well maybe the tutorial at the bottom of this page, regarding manually installing drivers on your PC will help???

Thanks bus still no luck.
I havent called SCT yet but i emailed Doug and am hoping to get a response tomorrow

My brother is sure its missing an install driver, like it got erased when my tunes were being put on so i asked doug if he could send me the install driver.

If else fails, SCT website said they have an autorized dealer in Temecula (CA) so ill have to head down there with my laptop and see whats up.
