Quick Critique my mod list
Well the Mustang was involved in an eight car pileup this weekend. Its going to be retired to race car duty once it is fixed. It will be an autox/drag/road course car. Here is a list of mods I'm thinking about getting.
1. MAC Longtubes
2. Pypes Off Road H
3. SLP Loudmouths
4. JLT Cai + Tuner
5. BMR Stage 1 Lowering Kit
6. Racing Seats
7. Harness Bar
8. 4 Point Harnesses.
So critique what I've already got and feel free to add suggestions. I know I need to do something about the brakes but I really want to mod for power more. I was thinking maybe just some high performance brake pads for now and then upgrade rotors as needed. I don't know throw some suggestions out there. Also does any one know how much the stock front seats weigh? I'm trying to figure out how much weight can be saved by stripping out front and rear seats and a/c.

does that suspension kit come with coil-overs?? you will need them for autox, so you can personally adjust, and if it is going to be a race car i would advise serious weight reduction, gut the interior, carbon fiber body panels where you can and even take out stuff you dont use that often, like the a/c, heater, glass for plexi-glass, you know stuff like that
ya and for drag racing some drag radials at least, if not straight slicks

Well I'm on a tight budget so I can't go quite that extreme. I was planning just some simple suspension mods for this season. Next winter it will get supercharged or turbocharged with a big brake kit and some serious suspension.
i would go with at least a 5 point harness.
i wouldn't go with the BMR kit. it's designed for appearance and tries to retain the stock specs... if you're tracking the car, you need to be focusing more on performance, not looks. it also comes with a couple of things that you would be better served passing on to use elsewhere. get some good springs springs that will be stiffer and improve your handling; maybe steeda or eibach. get a rod-end adjustable panhard bar (BMR is good for this piece). that's all you really need lowering wise. the camber bolts are to correct camber for daily driving, camber is a good thing on the track. in fact, you might consider getting some camber plates to get more camber. In all honesty, i think you should keep the stock suspension for a few events to learn the car, then upgrade things as they become limiting factors. i can say from experience, however, that you'll be surprised how much difference a new rear sway bar can make, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to get one.
First upgrades should be the brakes. it doesn't matter how fast you can get the car going if you can't stop it. you need higher temp brake fluid, brake pads, and SS lines. Brake ducts would also be a good idea, but not necessary.

Race seats should be used with a rollbar if you are serious about racing. If you roll your car the Harness will hold your body in the seat and your head is the highest point in the car. Not that this is likely but anything is possible on the track so it pays to be safe.
I also pulled my rear seat it really doesnt weigh much but with a rollbar dont want to have anyone in the backseat anyway.
