Default Painting Calipers?

I'm thinking about painting my brake calipers, but wanted to know if any of you have done it and how hard it is. Also, what color do you think would look best on my car? Red, Yellow, or Black? Thx

red always looks good. if you're going for the blackout theme, obviously, get black. haven't seen anyone with yellow yet, that would probably look cool.

If you're gonna do it, use the aerosol not the brush. I used the brush on one of my corvettes and it left brush strokes that are visible up close. Check out this link. http://www.duplicolor.com/products/caliperaero.html

Here's a thought. If you paint them red or yellow they might become a focal point which may cause people to look at your calipers instead of your wheels. Just a thought.

It's beyond simple to paint them. Just take off the wheel and tape off what you don't want sprayed. They include the tape and spray cleaner that preps the surface prior to painting. Go to their web site and look at how to videos.

It is not very hard at all. Just make sure you clean the calipers thoroughly so they don't chip over time. I did red and it looked pretty good, but I didn't really like the fact that I was accentuating small brake calipers. Black looks nice and clean!

it is easy. i did mine about a month ago. just got to clean them off pretty good so the paint will stick. i bought the brush on kit to match my car, legend lime, and it came with everthing needed. it does leave brush marks, but you dont notice with the wheels back on in normal daily situations. i even touched up a few rock chips in the front bumper while i was at it . yellow would look good on yours.

I'm not going to paint mine and here's why: The calipers on our cars are not particularly impressive and therefore, I don't want to accentuate them. I'm going to leave mine silver so they blend with the wheels and don't detract from them. Here's a tip for ya, anytime you paint something with a bright color it's going to draw your eye to it. Do you really want people's eyes being drawn to such an unimpressive part? The calipers on my Z06 are huge and painted red from the factory. Now these look good because they are very nice looking calipers to begin with. If you're going to paint yours then go black so they blend with your wheels. See the picture below.
