Factory gauge cluster issues
I have been having issues with my factory 'my color' gauge cluster that are getting progressively worse. It seems the needles are sticking and not able to move freely. It started out with the dummy oil pressure gauge not going back down when the car was shut off. Then, when the car is turned back on, it moves another ~50 degrees counter-clockwise. It will eventually go back to normal, but still is annoying.
The real annoying one is the tachometer. It seems to happen more often when its cold, but sometimes the needle won't move at all, sometimes its real jerky, sometimes somewhere in between those two. When I'm at idle, it will often read well below the idle speed, even below 0.
I'm guessing its going to come down to replacing the cluster, but at $~300+ for a new 'used' factory cluster, I'd like to avoid that route.
The car is an '05, and yes, well out of warranty.

Damn dude, that sux! I have an 06 and have not had any problems with my cluster, did you try playing dumb and taking it to the dealership to see what they say? I'm good at playing stupid (I'm Polish) so it usually works for me...
Yeah, I have the Tein Flex coilovers. The ride height is adjustable, not sure exactly how far I have it lowered. I just set everything the the heights Tein recommended.
My color clusters are on the pricey side, so I thought I'd ask around and see if any one else has come up with another solution.
