Default Quick PCM question...

Might be a dumb question (sorry I'm new to this)

I was wondering if recalibrating your pcm when buying an CAI, using a Tuner, and using programmed modules such as "jet Chip" cancel each other out??
Thanks in advanced.

I'm pretty sure the jet chips just reflash the PCM like a tuner, so yes, it would cancel out. I could be wrong, though, I'm not too familiar with those types of products.

go with a SCT tuner you can save the facory tune and reload it as needed but the sct works like a damn and there are great tunes you can get for that tuner from either bama or brenspeed

So if I get a CAI, don't use the re-calibration that comes with it? Just buy the SCT?

i would reccomend a better intake such as the steeda or C&L or even the JLT they are very well known and tried and tested. Also all these require a tune. For tuners get either the SCT Xcal 3 or a Diablo.
I use the steeda 90MM intake and the SCT X cal 3 and its good for about 30HP to the wheels. If you have an Automatic it will amaze you the difference it will make. It really hooks up the transmision makes it shift super hard.. all of which you can control with the tuner make it stiffer/ softer shift points so on and so on

royal nes,
I see you are new to the forums so welcome!
one funtion that will be very usefull to you for the first while is the search function. its almost at the top 4th selection from the left.
I would search for other peoples threads that have many many many comments on the various tuners and intakes and that should help guide you even further.
Do your research and do it right the first time.

Mike
