Default cleaning question

i was always told never to wash your car with regular dish soap not simply cause it was bad for the car but because it wasnt the best. however i just recently got my car painted and the place said to wait 1 month before you clean it and 90 days before i can wax/use clean/wax soap. my question is would it be wiser to clean with dish soap or wait 2 months and only clean with water in the meantime?

I was in the body shop business for 15 years. Its ok to wash your car now.I would use car wash soap, you can pick it up at your local auto parts store or walmart etc. As far as the waxing goes you need to wait at least 30 days. The paint doesn't completely cure till then. Waxing it will trap in any solvents that have not evaporated and it could cause you some problems. Use a good carnuba wax.

Use Zaino wax. A little expensive but it lasts for a long time. You will be very happy. www.zainostore.com
