Default the awful feel of the grind!

Alright, everyone knows they do it atleast once in a blue moon! fess up...i was drivin home yesterday from my friends house and turned onto a straight and threw it down into first and hit it, went thru the rpms and slammed it into 2nd.....or so i thought...and here starts the awful grinding feel(i cant hear it because im blastin the music) but i could sure as S*** feel it in the stick..i got the usual instant feeling of, "ahh crap, broke it"..but you really have to use some force to get it into 2nd or 3rd sometimes..but honestly, did i hurt it too much? obviously grinding isnt a good thing but, am i screwed now that i did it? ?

and if your a street speedin ****, chill..i was the only one on the road the entire ride home..alll back roads from my friends house to mine

Once might not be that damaging but continued missing of second will kill it.
I have done it once or twice but didnt force it as I heard it instead of feeling it.

Sometimes I do that when I get lazy when shifting gears. The Tri-ax shifter has a still feel to it, so it takes a bit more arm strength to shift the gears when compared to the stock shifter. When I pay attention though, it rarely happens.

ha we all have missed a gear. anyone ho says they havent just hasnt drove it hard enough or long enough to. Dont worry about it just dont make a habbit of it and if it ever happens again pull it away as fast as you can to avoid wearing the gear as much as possible.

Dont worry be happy

Missing shifts can make grown men cry. I know I wanted to last time I did in my old New Edge. I thought I missed a shift in my baby (s197) but it felt like the tranny 'kicked' the shifter away before it could grind. Funny, I thought that was a feature or something
