Default Help with mustang's odd behavior

Ok, my mustang's been stalling out on occassion lately, and i can't figure it out, and search is not help. Let me see if i can detail what happens, and my mods are listed in my sig...

My car will be acting normal, but all of a sudden, when i come to a stop or engage my clutch, my car dies. It always starts right up, but can't hold an idle and will die again unless i stay on the throttle a bit. Sometimes, when i restart, my info center will say "failsafe mode", but there are never any codes when i try to pull them. If i disonnect my battery, or simply reload my tune, it seems to fix the problem. This happens about once a month. It occurs on both my Brenspeed and Bama tunes. I've had my cai/tunes for like 9 months before this started to happen. i did change to an o/r midpipe, but i had it for several months before this happened.

I've already had the fuel pump TSB performed; i changed the fuel filter 12k miles ago; i've cleaned the MAF sensor lately; i've sloppily cleaned the throttle body, but haven't taken it off and done it well; my air element isn't spottless, but isn't too bad.

Thanks for any help you can provide!!

i had the random stalling and it ended up being a falty Throttle position sensor.. cost me 70 dollars to replace and it goes in the side of the TB. Also cleaning the TB may help with this too.

If you decide to take off the throttle body to clean it make sure you replace the TB gasket, otherwise, might have more headache cuz of it later on

that's a good idea......

i think i'm gonna replace the TPS and see how that goes. after reading more, i'm leaning toward that solution

If changing the TPS doesnt fix it, maybe you have dirty fuel injectors?

Yeah UT is awesome and ATM sucks... sorry, just a tad bitter after losing to ATM the last three years!!

I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing some MAF and TB cleaner. Remove the CAI, clean the MAF sensor and TB (opening the butterflies by hand and cleaning it VERY well). Even after 30k miles cleaning mine helped the idle a great deal.
