Default SHIFTER ****

Has any one changed out the stock shifter ****? I just received a new MAC billit **** to find out the stock **** and leather is all one piece. Is there a adapter or kit to change these out, or am I missing something? Thanks.

Read the How Do You Like My T Handle, post a few lines down. The stock boot comes off the stock **** by just kind of rolling it off. But then you are stuck with a way to make the boot fit the shifter handle. I had to use a combination of washers , jam nuts, and spacers to make it all work. I guess the fine folks at Ford thought we would love their clumsy **** and boot setup so well that NO one would ever want to change it! I cant wait till someone comes out with a line of ***** and T handles specifically for this car!! Or at least a choice of boots that dont attatch to the freakin ****!

I had a custom cue ball lazer engraved with the concept logo. I used 2 large washers and a nut under the ****, to stay nice & tight to the boot. Looks great!

How did you seperate the original **** from the leather portion?

Just twist the **** to one side. It comes right off. There is just a lip on the **** that the boot fits over. I have the factory boot still!
