Default GT doesn't startup

Hi

Yesterday I came home from a 40 minute drive and parked my car in the garage.
Today morning my car didn't startup again, it just made a rattle sound and the radio went crazy. I tried to use jumper cables with my other car and it started then. I left the car on for a couple of minutes and turned it off. But it still doesn't start itself. Seems the battery doesnt get loaded.
The car is just 1.5 years old. What could be wrong?

sounds like either the alternator or
the battery, my money would be on
battery. take it to your dealership and
they will check it out and replace it under
warranty, if it is bad

probably the battery. lots of issues with them. Do you have a shaker stereo. if so, its a battery eater among many other things in these cars.

yes I have a Shaker 500. Is the stock battery not strong enough?

No but the radio still draws power after shutting of the key. YOU MUST turn off radio before turning off key to shut it down. Otherwise it will "eat" your battery.

The radio is probably the source
However I had something like this happen to me, alternator went out, got it fixed under warranty where they replaced the battery and alternator. I'd check that just in case

What I don't understand is when I checked the battery gauge it was above half but the battery must have been empty cause the car didn't start. Is that gauge useless?

Im thinking the alternator you can take them into auto zone and test them, before you spend money on a battery. i know a couple of people who have had a bad alternator
