Default New driveshaft+ hp gain?

I was looking for new parts to help boost some hp on my 05 V6, and i saw a 1 peice aluminum driveshaft that is supposed to be 30 pounds lighter then the stock. it makes sense, that since its lighter it will be easier for the engine to spin it. it said it would give around 16 hp gain and like 12 torque, i know people usually overstate it, how much do you guys think, if any, it would actually gain from this?
thanks
T.C.

Dont expect any HP gains; the hp produced by the engine is the same.
You may pick up a little torque in parts of the torque curve.
There is a difference in smoothness of power though, IMO. Plus with the stock DS being rated at lower speeds and with tendendy to vibrate at different speeds, it makes sense to upgrade the driveshaft if you need a stronger one and/or intend to drive at higher speeds (at your own risk of course )

A driveshaft has been dyno tested to add .5hp and 2tq.

And it adds way more than smoothness. There's factors outside of HP and TQ for a car's speed and that's how it uses a certain amount of HP.

A driveshaft for example improves your car's efficiency to a point as to where it's like adding 30 hp. It's one of the best bang for your buck mods out there.

Yes, if it doesnt vibrate like crazy or have clearance issues. Just make sure you do you research before you buy. It is a really good mod and you can feel a difference.

Biggest gain is that the engine can spin up the RPM's faster

The driveshaft upgrade was one of my favorites. On top of the feeling of being more "connected" with the drivetrain and smoother power, it decreases "bog". When shifting gears it just grunts from gear to gear with the lighter dshaft. Great mod.
