Exclamation HELP ME!!!

Now that I got your attention! I am having an issue. Yesterday I downshifted from 5th to 3rd at about 55mph. I put it to the floor and it is almost seemed like the clutch slipped for like 3-5 seconds before it go into the power. Its kind of hard to explain, anyone know what I am talking about?? I have noticed this a few times. Any ideas of what it could be? I have no other issues what-so-ever. Shifts smooth, car has 9k miles.

Yeah, just not sure how to explain it. But it like fades into the power. Its not like nothing then BAM. I can feel the power building really really slow, then it fades into the big power.

Every once in a while when I downshift from 5th to 3rd on the highway to make an agressive pass of someone, I have no loss of power...the supercharger just whines a lot and I haul *** forward!

sounds like the traction control is cutting the power. i'm not supercharged so i only get that going from say fourth to second at arround 40mph to aggressivly pass. i would immagine with the extra power from the blower, you would have the same problem going hard into 3rd.

if you want to test this theory, go through first quickly, then hit second gear hard and heavy on the gas pedal with traction control on, and compare the feeling. i sometimes forget to turn TCS off and try to show off or race and it really cuts you off hard.

I don't think its a traction issue. I think its a mis-shifting problem. It happens to me sometimes too. If im careless and just drop it into 3rd and let off the clutch before its actually in gear, it will hesitate a little and shoot off seconds later, just like you described. I believe this is clutch slippage.. don't take my word for any of this, just what i think...
