Red face Battery replacement

Hey all,
So I was out working in the garage while listening to the Raiders game on sirus in the stang, long story short, after the game I went to move it and.... battery dead! I listen to games all the time in my trailblazer SS and have never had a problem. I have heard many talk about battery issues so I know I'm not alone.
My question is what battery would you recommend for replacement? I don't have any unusual power requirements other that listning to football on sirus once and a while. Thanks all

I have the same problem, I can't leave the flashers on for more then 15 minutes or the battery would die.

Yeah I will put a charge on the old one, and keep it around as a spare, but it is time for it to go. Can anyone tell us the best replacement for a s197 battery

Sorry to hear man, I have also fallen victim to the infamous dead battery.
I bought an Everstart (Part#48-3) replacement battery with 700CCA and haven't looked back.

Besides the apparent fact that the Motorcraft battery is a POS, a cranking battery makes a poor deep cycle battery. Regardless of the fact that you were able to do that on other vehicles, it's not recommended.

Also, I'll bet that any battery would die if it had to listen to the Raiders...

Just imagine what would had happened if you were listening to the Lions!

This is my opinion only but I would go with a Interstate battery, I've never ever had a failure with them but the last 2 show vehicles I've built I added yellow top Optimas, total junk!!
They lasted no more than a year before they wouldn't hold a charge.

I haven't had a problem until last week. I went to start it up after it sat for 3 days and I noticed it was hard to start. I know it was the battery. When I took it in this past Monday to get it inspected and serviced, I had Ford check the battery and I told them how it was hard to crank if it had not been driven in a couple of days. The guy said the battery checked out OK but there is a TSB on it. He said Ford recommends driving it some every day (which is crock, 'cause some of us only drive on pretty days) or putting a battery tender on it. It has to do with the computer in our cars. It is constantly on to save memory.
For a while many here thought it was the radio or anti-theft system, but the "save memory" thing sounds logical to me.

My '07 just sat for over 3 weeks and started right up... Could be a specific lot range of their batteries.
