Default Steeda UDP installation

I just recieved the pulleys, read the directions. Now I would like to hear what the real installation experiences are. What to watch out for, or what to do different. I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

pretty simple and straight forward. you will need an impact gun to remove the alternator pulley. And you'll need a special tool to remove the stock alternator pulley. I'm not sure if it comes with the UDP kit.

Yea Nuke's right. TB has a good install guide.

SOmething to watch out for, at least was a problem during my install was finding the right puller. I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem if I checked but i didnt and it took 3 different pullers to finally get it off haha

Man.... I just read through bill's sticky because I was rolling around the idea of UDP's in my head. Seems like a LOT of work for 5hp!

Is it really worth it?

No need to remove the alternator pulley. Just the water pump pulley and crankshaft pulley/damper. Replace the driver side stud on the alternator mount with the supplied bolt.

Most small 3-jaw pullers will work on the damper. Not super hard to get off. You will also need to get a new bolt for the damper and use a torque wrench to reinstall. If you have a manual, put it in 4th gear while you are working on the damper.

Make a detailed drawing of the belt routing to get it back on correctly. I used some removable Loctite on the water pump bolts and the alternator bolt. A little sealer on the keyway and you have got it done.
