Usually when I hear a whine, it fades away the faster I go. Whiney little LS1 owners..

On a serious note, its the tranny. Mine did the same thing a few times.

Sounds like its normal, like its the syncros. Change the fluid to syncromesh or whatever royal purple makes. I hear that stuff can make the noise go away. After I changed my gears from the factory ford ones there is no gear whine (there was a LITTLE bit stock) now I just hear the trans.

I have a 5 speed manual and lately I hear a whine going from 2nd to 3rd....is this normal? It's not loud, but noticeable and wasn't doing it until last week.

My wife occasionally whines, my mother whines, my employees whine, my customers whine, my vendors whine, and along with many others, but mostly my kids whine. So Im pretty much used to it .

My 08 GT/CS made a whine noise that sounded almost like a semi was beside me on the interstate. I got a new rear end at 3k miles. If you can hear it over the radio, take it in.
