Default CAI & comp. upgrade?

Already have magnaflow magnapack catback exhaust, installing C&L CAI and predator tune tomorrow. Just wondering if I will be able to feel a noticable difference after install. Probably putting in 4.10's next week if not enough of a difference from just CAI and tune. Any opinions out there?

I responded to this in your original thread. Here... https://mustangforums.com/m_550690/tm.htm
No offense but there's no need to start a new thread with a previously used topic.

Hi DEREKBENOIT,

I've got an '05 GT 5-speed and have installed Steeda's CAI and Steeda's version of the Diablosport Predator. I've also installed JBA shortys coated with Ti color ceramic thermal barrier, BTW, this stuff is amazing, I highly recomend it! It really works, my engine compartment is noticably cooler and seems to cool down much faster than the cast stock manifolds did. Also install is a Magnaflow Tru-X pipe with OBDII compliant high-flow cats and the system is finished off with a set of JBA's rear mufflers. With the Steeda CAI Tune for 93 octane fuel the car is very quick and the throtle response is immediate and very sharp! I love it! I'm off to get it custom dyno-tuned down at SoCal Tunning next week if I can make the time to get there. I'm going to get some baseline runs first, then have them optimize the tune and then make a couple of pulls to back up the improved tune. Then I'm going to swap out the rear mufflers for the stock cans to see if there is any difference. With the best shorty headers on the market and the only good X-pipe with OBDII compliant high-flow cats this test will put all the rumors to rest about the stock rear mufflers being restrictive or not. IMO the aftermarket mufflers are just making noise (really nice sounding noise in the case of the JBA's), with minimal if any reall power and I was not going to install an aftermarket muffler system. I had heard the Bassani and Borla systems installed on '05 GT's and really didn't care for the "euro" sounding tone and 6-cylnder snarl they make. Then I heard a set of JBA's rear cans on an otherwise stock '05 GT exhaust system and decided that the sound alone was worth paying for even if the power was not a big improvement, I'll soon know for sure if the stockers or the JBA's make a difference on the dyno or not. As to the gears, IMO if you are not going to the track very regularly you should keep your stock gears. Obviously there is a difference in you 60 foot times and E.T.'s but I don't think the mileage loss and extra wear and tear on the drive train is worth it unless you are running tall drag tires or run open road races.
