Default funny smell.....

last week i bought a 05 gt with 2k on it.... drives fine but i smell somthing funny.... kinda like a plastic bag on the pipes but no bag?? someone told me it could be the new car and new exhaust "breaking in" it smells when the car has been driving for a little while.... i also hear a metal tick noise in the front of the car ( but im more worried about the smell)

anyone have somthing smiliar or can give some sort of input?

i dont know, sounds crazy...just drive like you stole it for a few days and see if it clears up or gets worse... sounds like a good excuse to get a new set of pipes to me

An 05 with 2000 miles on it - you sure you aren't smelling mothballs?

Maybe someone died in it. Doubt it's the new car smell being it's an 05. Auto or manual?

I think I'd let it run for a little while and try to locate the source of the smell. You should be able to locate it, at least in the general area.

Change the cabin filter, too. Depending where the smell is coming from.
