Default questions about aftermarket gauges

Ok well im looking into getting some gauges for the stang for x mas and i was just wondering how hard is it to install a oil temp, water temp or fuel pressure gauge.. Thanks for any help. Dustin

Im assuming you are going with electrical. All I can vouch for is the fuel pressure, install is fairly easy. Some more ppl with jump in and help out more.

i tried the sandwich adaptor for oil temp and oil pressure and i didnt like it at all

1st time i installed it, i didnt do it properly and the O ring between the adaptor and block squeezed out and 5 L of oil came dumping out

re-installed it, run it with no problems for about a month

each time i drove, the idea of the o ring popping out kept playing in my mind, so i decided to yank it and do the brass fitting route.

More time and effort involved, yes, but better peace of mind.

That and you don't have to cuss and swear each time you do an oil change as the oil filter has virtually no clearance between the front sway bar and adaptor and you almost have to resort to using a big effin hammer to get it in
