I think I am going to do this as well but I was gonna get some tint from Autozone and do it myself and save the $75 + on the actual smoked lenses.

I think the smoked lenses would look awesome on that color.

kpaulhus,
I wonder how well that tint will hold up on the lenses...do you know anyone that's done this and how long it's lasted?

Not too sure. I am gonna try some 5% and apply it like it was a window and hope and pray it stays sticky. I might try to wrap it around the lights a little on each side so the body of the car actually holds it in place. If not Ill jsut get a can of the VHT NightShades paint. Either way you save big $ compared to buying them alreay smoked.

I put the ones with the black housing on my Vista Blue and I think it looks really good. And since the lens isn't darkened, the light still shines through well. No pics yet though.

Here's a pic of mine with 20% tint from Vatozone. Don't use 5% - I did at first and it totally blocks all light coming from the bulbs. You won't be able to see anything behind the lens at night with the lights on.

Putting tint on the signal lenses is super easy. Just use a hairdryer to help shrink it to the lens and it will look perfect. Blacking out the grill, pony, and everything behind the grill look good too.

Edit - I have no idea why this site will only accept TINY pictures. Sorry.

Ok, so I got the gift card I was expecting for Christmas, and I have ordered the smoked corners. However, this place only carries the lenses and no type of stealth or clear bulb.

Anyone know a good place to find them? Are the factory bulbs yellow? How bad do they look under the smoked lenses?
