They are deep, but not thunderously deep. They have the "Bassani sound", which is best described as "liquidy grunts". At WOT it develops a different tone which sounds great to me. I really love my Bassanis. My camera doesn't capture sound that well, so you can't get a true sense of how deep the exhaust is or the true tone.

I found those $225 ebay Bassani's for the GT-500. I called the guy and confirmed they don't fit the GT - just FYI. He says the hangers are different.

I say the part number starts with 54 and every other Bassani-made Mustang part number that starts with 54 has a 3" pipe (even though the ebay ad says 2 1/2"). The GT, of course, has 2 1/2" pipes.

So my search for Bassani Street muff's, preferably stainless, continues....

with an off-road setup you WILL have trumpeting no matter what.
i disagree with my pal, you can always try a custom exhaust that is o/r and none of the famous o/r 3v "tin can rattle"......i love my mid mounted 40 series flowmasters with an o/r h.........loud and deep...i am going to get flamed for not posting any new vids, but i will try my BEST to do so this weekend......

I wanna hear it... unfortunately an off-road pipe is not in my future anyway with cams... too damn loud.

After swapping my O/R midpipe off and on several times it does feel like a I pick up a few high-rpm hp but it's too loud and smells too bad.

I'm sticking to cats.

Thanks for the double check man. I did notice that only after looking at it for a few days. Haha man that would really "grind my gears". Im just waiting for the pair of macs im looking at to get closer to closing time. Since im on the fence with so many its really just what comes to me at the cheapest price. But I would prefer macs. If there to loud i can toss some resonators on there. If there too quite, well better luck on try 2.

One option it to buy the Bassani universal mufflers with offset-in/offset-out and get a muffler shop to mount them and weld on tips. They are the same mufflers that they use on any vehicle.
