FWIW... I've had longtube headers and an off-road h-pipe the life of my car and the off-road setup trumpeted loudly with EVERY configuration. I finally gave up and just put the cats back on.

I would love to see a longtube header/off-road setup that doesn't trumpet but haven't found a video for one yet.

LT's, o/r x pipe, MBRP deletes, M80's is what i've found to be perfect for me. loud and deep.

I dont know why more people dont mention the JBA's. They soun fantastic. Not too loud on idle, but has a hell of a presence and when you open it up the come alive.

I don't get the big deal with the o/r set ups... I realize the high flow catted X & H pipes tend to cost more, but do you really get that big of a performance gain over high flow cats an x or H pipe that has no cats?

JBA's are one of those axlebacks that people tend to forget about. I had them and I liked them alot. Nice mellow tone that really wake up when the go peddle is applied. And hardly no drone at all.

of the few clips i saw online it seems that the JBAs trumpet a bit. i think i would rather have drone over trumpeting, or even in that case drone w/ great sound

I think it would rather have a more deeper note than just loud. I think that the MACs will give me that. im still looking, my mind changes every day. i really wish i could hear these in person. im not in the best money situation as it is but once i get my mind set on somthing its hard to turn it off. MAC axle back or 2 text book haha

I think depending if i can find a deal, im probly going MACs the best i found was 320 with free shipping

did you watch that video? Those JBAs don't trumpet at all. Also....drone is not an issue.
