Default Found JL sub enclosure for S197

I don't know if this will appeal to anyone, but I found a relatively inexpensive loaded JL box that fits like a glove in our trunks! This is actually left over from my Lightning. I test fit it a few minutes ago and it is absolutely perfect! It's one of JL's "powerwedge" boxes for a truck. It has a 10" sub and goes for about $270. The rear is slanted, and the front part with the sub is flat. If you turn it around to make it a rear-firing setup, the slanted wall of the box fits perfectly up against the slanted rear seats when you fold them up in place! A few screws and this baby is in! Just an idea that's a little different.

This is what it looks like on the bench:

This is a shot from the trunk area. It fits perfectly up on the "shelf" right behind the rear seats. In fact, you have to really push it to get it in there.

Another shot:

Shot from inside the car:

Shot with the passenger rear seat up. Notice how nicely it fits?

I've been looking around for a cheap custom enclosure for a while...not too many out there for our cars. This looks like it would work really well, it certainly has a good fit. Another option I've found is the MTX Thunderform loaded enclosure for $240 shipped on eBay. Seems like a pretty good deal as it goes for $550 on Crutchfield. If you already have a sub like I do, you can probably get the unloaded enclosure even cheaper if you look around.

I have this one. Fits like a glove and looks really sharp. I don't really put anything in the truck other than my cleaning/detail beg, so it's perfect.

Check out the Stealthbox from JL Audio. It's a 13-14" sub with built in enclosure that fits into the side of the trunk.

I have the MTX in my car and it really sounds great. It also comes with a volume control for the sub which is really nice! Some days you just don't want alot of bass. And the price on ebay is a good one if it is the powered one!
