Default Adding reverse proximity beep feature

My girlfriend just got a Mercury Mariner. It has this cool feature where when she is backing up it can tell how far away it is from another object/car and beeps progressively louder as you get closer to the object. It makes it 100X easier to back into parking spaces.

It really works well and I prefer it to a reverse camera. Does anyone know if this feature can be added to a stang and who makes them?

hahah, for real! I would hate to see you try to park my lifted F150. No offense but maybe you should trade the mustang in on a toyota yaris. Check ebay though, they have that kinda stuff.

I have 3 proximity alerts in my car. My drivers side mirror, my passenger side mirror and the rearview mirror. All work great. I haven't hit anything yet!

Serisouly, though. I see where your coming from (my wife's Murano has the camera, which comes in handy when hooking up the hitch to my boat), but I don't see it as being a necessary thing in a Mustang. Good luck though!

LOL. When I say beep I dont meen beep outside the vechile like a dump truck backing up. It is a quite beep inside the car that gets faster the closer you get to the car behind you. I thought it was stupid when she was describing it to me untill I got a change to see it work.

Cheap alternative which ONLY works once you get married.(you'll know what I mean if/when this ever happens to you)

After the honeymoon, whenever you want to back up the Stang, toss her outside the vehicle and get her to tell you how much farther backwards you can go........works in all weather too. Mine will even make the *beep* beep* sound when commanded!

Thats a feature for the opposite sex.
The mustang becomes an extension of myself
when I get in and orientation is not a problem.
