Nate,

Awesome look, and great action pics....

But then again, I have always been an advocate of stock ride height, and filling the wheel wells with tire, as opposed to the opposite.....

Excellent my friend, excellent......

Tire rack has the Goodyear Eagle F1 for $178 in the 285/40x18.
I know it's the 40 profile but they don't look bad at all IMO.
Just weight out all your options with accordance to prices...
Shopping for tires is such a PITA until you find the good combo.

yah i hate looking for tires. i only have a .75 drop in the rear so basically i want to fill up the extra room but keep the car practical for daily driving. Wet traction/stability is a concern as well and i have no idea how this will effect that

Looks cool. That size tire is approximately 2'' taller than stock . If the front are stock hight tires, You can maintain your stock ride hight by lowering your rear only one inch. That would keep your front suspension geometry within stock specs (no extra rake)
As far as your rear brakes go they will still not be as effective due to the increased diameter tire which will put a strain on your front brakes . If you must insist on running a taller tire on the rear I would at minimum get some better brake pads . But a brake balance controller would be even better.
