Default Fuel Pump Replacement

Worth doing yourself or take to shop? My 05 GT will not start, not getting enough fuel. I think the fuel pump is out. Is it worth it to try and do it myself or should I just take it to the local performance shop?

Do it yourself, just remove the back seat bottom and I think there is an access port to get to it.

I thought you had to drop the tank. If this is not the case it makes a big difference.

Can you hear the pump coming on? I would check/replace the relay 1st.

I have not had any issues lately. I just went to start it today and it would not start. I have not had issues with sputtering. It wanted to start and the fuel tank read it had between 1/4 and 1/2 tank. I pulled the relay and cant see in as it it grey. I may just tow it to the local performance shop (about 4 miles) and see what they have to say.

Have you checked the inertia fuel shut off switch?

Yes I reset the fuel shut off switch. I really am lost now, it sounds totally different than when I tried to start it earlier.

This morning I tried to start and it is not responding at all. I guess it is time to tow to the shop.
