This still on?

Superbowl is on at 6:30 so we can hit the track and still watch the game.

I'm thinking about coming since its about 30 minutes from my sister's and I know I won't miss the superbowl. I have always heard that Bradenton hooks much better than Orlando Speedworld, maybe I can hit basement 11s? Does anyone know how strict the tech is on Sundays? I don't have a driveshaft loop, roll cage, or fire jacket. For a 2 hour trip, I'd like to get more than one run!!

Brice,

Just run through the 1/8th for the first few runs and coast through the lights. That way you can get the launch RPM down and feel out the track.

Once you have that down, launch the car and if it hooks good through second run it on through for a time. It is bound to be good and if you get kicked out it will have been your best run anyway.

Had a friends car who ran 10's with no safety gear and we used to do this all the time.

It is really fun running low 12's at 100mph

I got an offer to go hunting that morning down south so I am doing that. I will watch the game at my friends house.

I just blew a bunch of money on my other hobby so the wheel and tire money is postponed till probably the end of the year. Once I get the DR's I will hit the track.

i have never heard them give anyone a hard time(except the young punk in a BMW on the cell phone when he was suppose to be staging, lol), they have 4WD trucks out there running 10's and blowing smoke everywhere,im sure you will be fine.

That's what I have been doing at OSW the last couple of times. They have actually become a little strict about the cage and fire jacket. Funny though that they haven't said anything about my helmet which is not snell rated. You can always come to OSW on street tires for fun!?!
