Default wheel question

I know the stock GT500 wheels weigh around 28lbs. Well i found a set of replicas that have been powder coated all black and they are claiming they weigh 35lbs each! That seems very heavy to me. Does powder coating add that much weight? I love the look of these wheels and they are at a great price but the weight concerns me. Anyone have any insight? 35lb a wheel is heavy for 18s dont you think? They told me that they weighed them.

I don't know too much about powder coating, but I find it hard to believe that it would add 7lbs to each rim..
