Default What car to get?NEED HELP!!

ok so im turning 17 soon and im going to get a 05 or 06 mustang but im not sure what too get. The most i can spend on my car is $14,000 and if i spend that that leaves me with no money left. I want a nice looking, reliable, car that is faster than enough of the avg cars on the road, and i want it to sound badd a$$.

Option 1:

Buy an 05 v6 mustang for $8500, with 50k mi on it. leaving me $5500 dollars to mod it. (rims, duals, venom hood,nav,subs,gt500 conversion....)

option 2:

buy an 05 GT mustang for around 13-14K. Which would leave me no money to mod it right away, but i would have a GT enough said.

Also car insurance is a big factor, i know eitherway its gonna cost me alot of money to insure a mustang at my age, but how much more a year would it cost to insure a GT vs a v6 for a 17yr, male.

I cant make up my mind.

When was getting my car, GT insurance was a whole lot more than a v6, so I got a v6.

GT insurance will rape you....some people on here pay 3K every 6 months. I would look more towards a sixxer but shop around and get the one you want even if it costs a little more and you will still have money leftover

dude youre gonna get a v6 and regret it. if you can afford the insurance on a gt then get the gt. i had a v6 when i turn 17 and it was terrible. no matter what exhaust set up its just not the same in sound...glad i totalled it. now i have a gt and love it, the quickness, the rumble, the look, hands down much better.

A V6 will be plenty fun for you when your 17. Your left with some money to do some stuff with it too. Get a CAI and a tune and experiment with some exhaust. Give you a chance to learn on the go and find out what you like for when you get that GT.

if u can afford the GT i say get the GT, as others stated check with ur insurance company and do some comparisons with others on the price difference between the V8 and V6... are u fully convinced on only an S197 or would u consider a new edge?

definately getting a s197 still cant decide though between v6 or GT if the insurance difference is over 1k then im gonna go with the v6 but if its kinda close then this is gonna be alot tougher decision.
