Find another shop. My Ford dealer broke my tires down off my old rims, installed the sensors (using my strap kits) onto my new wheels, and mounted and balanced my new tires onto my new rims for under $50

150 must include new bands and everything....like stated the labor isnt much but the parts can be on the high side. Where are you having this done?

im getting it at discount tire....they are giving me a great price on the tires and rims but the install sucks.

they want
30 for the bands which is good
30 for dismount of the 17s stock tires and remove bands
30 to mount bands and senors to 20s
50 to mount tires to 20s
30 to remount the stock tire on the stock rims.

if your going to do it, do it the right way, so do the transfer. you wont be too happy if you get into an accident and the government is suing you for breaking a federal law. and i have heard that if they go the tpms goes off and you get in a accident it is automatically your fault?!?!??... im just still pissed about theese stupid rules too. i didnt like shelling out 300 for all new sensors (the stockers are my winter wheels)

Hopefully you mean mount them in something pressurized to at least 28 PSI. Otherwise, it's pointless.

***Cough** BS!!!! ***Cough*****

when do they ever check to see if the TPMS was turned on???? how do they know that tires just were not inflated to the correct pressure. also how do they know its not an 06 without TPMS. my friend wrecked his 08 and no one checked his TPMS or even checked to see if it was an 07+....also its not against the law to put new rims on with out the TPMS...its against the law to disable the TPMS through the computer.
