Default Bulb replacement '06

Its freezing outside, so Im asking before I stand in the 15 degree garage trying to get the answer: one of the rear taillight bulbs has burned out on me and I was wondering if this is an easy self-fix or does the truck need to be torn apart or taken to Ford to replace? Thx

Well, installation of the sequential tailights involves removing both rear tailights, replacing the stock wiring harness, swapping all the bulbs and reinstalling the light assemblies. This averages about 20-30 minutes. So for a single bulb, maybe 10 minutes. You'll need to unscrew a couple of fingernuts plus pop a few of the plastic rivet type things, if I recall (it's been awhile).

OOPS! Did you say "truck"? You must have meant trunk... And 15 degree garage? That sucks...

Yeah, just like Nuke said, just take off the plastic liner in your trunk there are to fingernuts and 4 plastic rivets. (It may help you to take out your carpet to get it out) Then just take the 3 nuts off from the bolt sticking out (from whichever light you need to take out) and you can just pull off the light, turn the bulb socket, replace the bulb and install everything in reverse.

Do it when it's light and warmer out. You'll curse less.
