Thanks Asa.
I was watching all of 2k5gt's videos last night. I am really leaning toward 4.10's again. Plus that unbeatable price of $135 at speedconcepts is really tempting.

Love the 3.73's; 4.10s would have been too much for sure! It's hard enough as it is hanging on while spinning through 1st and 2nd from a slow roll.

As mentioned above, at highway speeds, stock gears at 70 were about 2000 rpms; with 373s, around 2400. Highway mpg dropped a little...but the city-driving fun factor went up a lot!

(and yes, I'm a 'sixxer' with an automatic)

didn't know thats who that was, but with your auto 5R55S correct? they're a 5 speed auto (yes/no) (sorry don't know much about them) the 4.10's would be a better choice IMO. if you ease in and out of it fuel mileage won't suffer nearly as bad. and you don't do too much hwy stuff, so rev's shouldn't be a problem. But imma tell you again TIRES WILL BE NEEDED TO HOOK.

... keep it under 55 on the freeway and you'll be fine. Stay of the left lane by all means lol.

(-:

Getting 4.10s later in the spring after all the snow melts... I'll sacrifice some hwy mpg for break neck acceleration any day! Just keep in mind that in and out of traffic you may want to be careful getting on the throttle.. from what I hear the 4.10s are really really squirlly if you aren't cautious...

Dont fear the gear. I went from stock 3.31's to 4.10's and always have a smile on my face when I take my care out. I also recommend doing a CAI tune and UDP's.

for those who did say that the oomph was less than expected, what gears were on your car before the swap?

3.31 or 3.55?

Good to know. This was the enthusiasm I was hoping for from the 3.73 guys. You have an automatic right?
I have an intake/tune. Could you tell a difference with UDP's?

I got it all the upgrades at once and didnt dyno to get get a (stock) baseline. They wanted to charge me $100. Better spent elsewhere.

Remember UDP's (under drive pulleys) technically dont add HP they free the (parasitic)HP up. With my 87 tune I am putting out 270HP/277TQ.
